Hello!
We have an old Confluence installation running version 3.0.2. We would like to install the latest Confluence, copy a little information from the old to the new, and the forget about the old installation. The upgrade path is hard, and not really worthwhile because most of the information in the old installation is obsolete.
How can we transfer the license from the old installation to the new one?
Thanks,
Leo
Hello LeoJ,
About your explicit question, there is no need to purchase, renew, or update your license (if its still valid of course). The license used in 3.x is the same for 3.x and 4.x.
As for your problem in upgrade path and such, I'm not sure if you just shared the info of what will be done or needed some help, but anyway, here is a good guide:
Cheers!
Guilherme
Just go to my.atlassian.com and generate a new one. You need a the server ID and you will get the license key for your new server.
