Why do the watchers of a page not transferred to a new page, which is create underneath?
In our Confluence Database we have much topics and so the pages are separated in some topic-pages. Underneath these topic-pages we create new pages. Is it possible that all of the watchers of the topic-page are automatically transferred to the new page, so that the watchers get a notification for the new one?
Another option is to watch the whole space but then you get the notification for all of the topic-pages and not just for one in particular. But that is our need.
So, are there any solutions for this problem?
--> I know that I can create blog posts instead of pages but we need pages for our database. So blog posts are not a good choice for us.
Hi Steffen - Welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Currently, there is no built-in feature in Confluence Cloud to watch an entire page tree, including sub-pages, without using a third-party plugin or custom script.
Thank you!
Can I ,as an admin, transfer the watchers to the new page by myself easily? Or do I have to put them step by step in? Is there an option like copy+paste?

Hi @Steffen Ratzke Welcome to the community!
In Confluence, watchers of a parent page are not automatically transferred to child pages. This is by design, as Confluence treats each page as an independent entity regarding notifications.

Do you have a solution for our problem (like a work-around)?

You can watch the Entire Space which, I believe, does apply to new pages.
But I understand that this might be an overkill and overload of notifications.

As I mentioned this would be too much notification for every user.

I searched for 'watchers' in the marketplace and got 3 promising results:
