You would need to use CSS. An easier solution may be to us Bob Swift's Advanced Table macro. You can customize the columns and rows in the macro with CSS, as well as add sorting and a bunch of other features.

It's not completely implemented yet, but it might also be nice to be aware that this functionality should make it's way into Confluence 6.0:
