We have a page where people are collaborating and therefore using the @mention for the same person more than once. Common scenario:

Day 1: Jane Doe edits the page and includes an @mention to John Smith, who gets a notification that he's been mentioned.

...several days go by without much activity...

Day 6: Jane Doe returns to the page and makes new edits to the page on a different topic. She once again @mentions John Smith because she wants him to contribute.

Problem: The second @mention doesn't trigger a notification. Any idea why that would happen?

Hello There,

In a first moment this can be related with the indexes of your instance, so based on this I would suggest you to perform the same test but in the middle you could rebuild your content indexes by the following procedure:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONFKB/Rebuild+the+Content+Indices+from+Scratch

And then try again to use the mentions in the same scenario. I hope this helps.

Kind Regards,

LJ.
