Stop receiving email notifications on Confluence

Jason Ried September 27, 2016

We have Confluence for the entire team and we can't seem to stop receiving email notifications when someone works on a page. We have tried the following:

  • Checked individual profile settings and ensure that there are no "Space Watches" selected.Screen Shot 2016-09-27 at 1.37.09 PM.png
  • Checked manage notifications from the email and can see that all email options are deselectedScreen Shot 2016-09-27 at 12.57.16 PM.png
  • Deselected "Notify Watchers" on the page when editing HOWEVER we notice that this automatically selects itself again. How can we disable this?

Each time someone works on the wiki we all get mass emails and it's incredibly frustrating.

Can someone please advise on how to stop this and importantly how to set defaults to never send emails and only send emails if we actually request to get them manually.

thanks!

Hi,

Has there been any updates on this issue?

We appear to be experiencing the same issue whereby people are updating pages and the Notify Watchers is NOT ticked and others are getting mass email sent to them of these updates?
