Status Updates and @mentions in Confluence and JIRA

Ole Kristensen March 6, 2013

The nature of our work in Grundfos as a pump manufacturing company a lot of spaces are confidential and secret and the only way to communicate across is actually Status Updates!

You're not allowed to share pages or comment in a lot of spaces.

But as an Admin I can see that 2 or more spaces are discussing the same problems and really should exchange ideas. I can only tell them to open up for other employees but they are largely reluctant to that idea

At the same time they tell me that they would reply to a Status Updates that includes @mentions and a relevant idea or professional question!

This makes me think that Status Updates should have a much stronger role to play in Confluence and JIRA.

Features needed:

@mentions in Status Updates

Possible to reply with new @mentions for adding more people to the conversation

What do you think?

Best Regards

Ole Kristensen

Hi Ole,

I believe you have created a New Feature request before regarding this, which is tracked here:
