Slow intranet

AndrejP March 3, 2014

Our intranet run on server in Austria on our local network. We have several plants in different countries connected through MPLS line (2 megabits/s). In this plants we have very slow intranet and I suppose that problem is in bandwidth.

Is there a way to make local replication of our intranet in all plants with synchronization each other? Or what would you suggest as a solution to long response intranet.

Hi Andrej,

"Is there a way to make local replication of our intranet in all plants with synchronization each other?"
Replication can be obtained using Confluence Cluster, but this is not recommended if you want to have the servers in different countries since you're already experiencing bandwidth issues.

So my suggestion is to enable cache on the proxy that are not in the same local network as the Confluence server. This will allow information to be available more quickly once it was accessed before: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Configuring+Apache+to+Cache+Static+Content+via+mod_disk_cache

Kind Regards
