Shouldn't the base URL be changed in the first steps?

I've only managed to access confluence behind nginx once I've first changed the base URL. Also I believe I had to complete the first tutorial (welcome) before proceeding.

Hi Thomas,

Yes, I've got it running, though I don't have a tutorial or step-by-step guide, as I've only done it once. As suggested by my question/self-answer, next time I do it I would:

  • first complete the tutorial in the standalone installation
  • second change the base URL before performing the rest of changes in the guide.
