Setting timeout for JIRA Macro

Orion IT Team January 20, 2014

We've got JIRA and Confluence download instances both running on our network.

When we use the "JIRA Macro" to try and display JIRA issues on a Confluence page, we get the following error when trying to view a particularly complex filter:

"Read timed out <br/>class java.net.SocketTimeoutException"

I'm assuming that this is due to JIRA taking too long to return a response (simpler queries work without any issues).

Is there any way to set the "timeout" in Confluence to allow JIRA more time to respond, before the timeout is triggered and the connection is dropped?

Here's how you can set the Socket Timeout in Confluence.
