Send e-mail to users defined in Page Properties

KMTek February 17, 2020

Hi!

In a workflow, is there a way to send an e-mail to users mentioned in a table inside a Page Properties macro?

We've tried to do it directly in the send-email macro via the user parameter but with no luck... and looked a bit around the web but no luck either.

As an example imagine the following:

In the Page Properties macro:

| Director | @KMTek |

In the workflow markup:

{trigger}
   {send-email:user=@Director@|subject=@pagetitle@ pending for approval|mimetype=text/html}

   Dear @Director@,

  @user@ is requesting your approval for the page @page@. Could you please take a look

   Kind regards,

   The KM team

   {send-email}
{trigger}

If the Director parameter is replaced by the username it works fine. We've also tried using address instead of user in the send-email macro but it also doesn't send any mail.

If someone sees what can be wrong could you please let us know? This would be a cool feature to deliver to our client.

We are using Comala Workflows 4.18.2 and Confluence 6.4.2.

Thanks.

Dears, please disregard the message above. For some reason, without changing the code for the send-email macro it started working, therefore it's fixed.

Thank you.
