Scheduling a PDF export

Edwin Stol July 11, 2012

Hi,

Does anyone know of a way in which you can create a PDF export of a page, once every three weeks, and save this export as an attachment to the page from which the export was requested (or a different page, if that's easier.)
I suppose i could trigger this with a scheduled job or something like that.

I could always do it manually every three weeks, but that something you tend to forget.

Perhaps you could set up a cron job to call the Confluence CLI (part of Atlassian CLI).

The Confluence CLI would have to

  1. Export the page to PDF and save somewhere
  2. Attach the generated PDF to the correct page

@Bob Swift could likely give you an example :-)

Hi David,

Thanks for your reply. If that's the only/easiest way, i suppose that could work. Preferably i would keep the functionality within Confluence, through a plug-in or something.
