Roadmap Planner: can you link a bar to a URL instead of a Confluence page?

Michelle Futornick October 14, 2016

In the Roadmap Planner, I want some of my bars to link to an external URL, not a Confluence page. Is this possible?

Short answer: no

If you are running Confluence Server, than you can use the HTML macro to add a redirect to a page, then link that page to the RP bar.

No I spoke too soon- something is wrong. If you edit the bar in the edit page- then publish the page. When you click on the bar- you dont have a chance to click the linked page- BAM you are redirected to this page..

Anyone else having this issue?

To get there- go to your roadmap page- link a bar to a confluence page- then publish it- Now click on the bar and before you can see the linked page- you are redirected..

I cant link anything to the roadmap planner. When I click on the bar in the chart- it immediately opens that confluence advertisement page - showing the feature. I tried to click and then click on "Link a Page" in lightening speed- to no avail. Any suggestions?

Oops was not in edit mode- disregard. But any other fool clicks on it without being in edit mode- it is automatically linked to the confluence page describing its use. You must be in edit mode to change that link - duh
