Removing User Issue

Hi,

I have both a JIRA instance running and a Confluence instance running. My instance of Confluence is utilizing the JIRA user repository.

So, I imported an export from another JIRA instance which by de facto gave me a new DB, thus my users that came from JIRA and are in Confluence no longer exist. I am trying to remove them from Confluence but it will not allow me. Is there a way now to remove the users in Confluence who were in the previous JIRA?

Did you delete the old user directory? I believe all users from a directory are deleted when the directory is removed. Their username will still appear if in any content created by them.
