I've recently created a page "Manage Stuff"
I needed to rename it to "Manage Stuff & Things "
I now want to create a new page with title "Manage Stuff".
However, the system has locked "Manage Stuff" and redirects this to the renamed page "Manage Stuff & Things"
Ordinarily this would be a useful function. Today it is not.
How do I go about reclaiming "Manage Stuff" for the new page?
Hi Lisa,
I'd expect the editor to allow you to create a page with that name. Confluence Cloud uses page IDs in the URLs, generally avoiding the problem of name collision. Internally it will keep track of links and update them appropriately when you rename a page.
Do you receive a specific error when trying to create a new page called "Manage Stuff", and if so - would you be able to provide a screenshot of the error and how you're going about creating the page? I would like to try and reproduce the issue you're seeing.
Cheers,

Hi there,
Here's an example
A page with the title 'Manage your conversations' already exists in this space. Enter a different title for your page."
Thanks for looking into this.

A theory: perhaps if there's an incoming link to the page with the old name, that specific name can't be claimed?
