Read Only Users in Confluence

Richard Jones May 7, 2015

Hi All

We currently have a 100 user licence for confluence but am thinking of expanding this wiki out into the rest of the company. There would be more than 100 people accessing it but they would be all read only. I wouldnt want them to edit. Is it possible to give anonymous access to confluence (no log in read only access)

Thanks

Hi Richard,

Yes it is possible to give anonymous access to Confluence. Please see this documentation to understand how to achieve it: https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Setting+Up+Public+Access

Yes, under Space Administration permissions, you can grant view permission to anonymous users.

Yes. Only users with accounts count on the license.  Anonymous access doesn't count.
