Putting videos in columns

minesh patel July 29, 2013

Hello, I am using confluence version 5.1.4. The wiki mark-up is different than from the other the previous versions. I think more complex.

Right now, I have about 8 videos on the wiki page. All these videos are lined up under each other.

I would like to put them either in two columns (4 & 4) or in three colunms (3 & 3 & 2). Does anone how I can acheive this??? Thanks.

Don't use tables...there's dedicated feature for this. You'll see a page layouts button in the editor toolbar immediately to the left of the link button. From there you can choose a two-column or three column layout. (more documentation here https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONF51/Working+with+Page+Layouts+and+Columns+and+Sections) Note that page layouts have changed a little bit in 5.2 to give more layout options.

Since the videos are macros you should be able to just drag them into the column you want them to go into. Note, if you're using youtube videos, you can just paste in the url to the video and it will automatically convert into a youtube macro.

Hi Minesh,

As a simple way, you could create a table.

As a better way you could create a CSS to do the alignment: http://www.w3schools.com/css/css_align.asp

Hope it helps!!
