Push file from Confluence to git

zouroto April 24, 2019

Hi all,

I know that my question sounds like an antipattern.
Let me be more precise.

In my company, we are working with specification by example, and as a result of three amigos meeting we produce feature files, that can be express in Gherkin or in Markdown files.

Currently, we are editing those file in IntelliJ during the meeting. But as this meeting involve business people, we are looking for an alternative to let business people see and edit the content of those feature files.

An option could be to use Git Editor but it's too complicated for business people.
As Confluence is used as a living documentation provider, I would have like to have the possibility to add a new feature file in confluence or edit an existing one:
And after all, push the final file in GIT for version control.

I see many confluence plugins to embed a file from GIT, but none that offer the possibility to push to git.

So my question is: is this a good approach to use confluence to push data to git?
And if not, what can I use to achieve that with Atlassian tools?

Thank you
