Problems with upgrade from 7.4.3 to 8.0.3

SISTEMAS UMIVALE February 8, 2023

Hello.

When we try to upgrade confluence from 7.4.3 to 8.0.3.

We have a problem when finish the upgrade. In catalina.out show Loading class `com.mysql.jdbc.Driver'. This is deprecated. The new driver class is `com.mysql.cj.jdbc.Driver'. The driver is automatically registered via the SPI and manual loading of the driver class is generally unnecessary.

But we try to find the com.mysql.jdbc.Driver to change it, and do not find in any config file.

When finish de runing process in website show warnings releasing with Databse. Increase connection pool allows ar least 60.

And in the description show a failed upgrade and more information.

@SISTEMAS UMIVALE increase the dB pool size in the confluence.cfg.xml file located in the confluence home directory. You can check for the server.xml file as well if you have passed the DB connection details as resources in the server.xml file which is located in <confluence_install_directory>/conf.

Hi @SISTEMAS UMIVALE ,

Did you came across below Atlassian document ? Usually major version upgrades require database drivers to be upgraded manually. This document also contains link to mysql drivers.

Thanks,
Aditya
