Problem installing confluence: Generating identifier Edited

I currently have a problem installning confluence on a mysql database, after i have entered the database credentials and clicked on next the page loads for about 20 sec and then i get this error:

org.springframework.orm.hibernate5.HibernateJdbcException: JDBC exception on Hibernate data access: SQLException for SQL [n/a]; SQL state [HY000]; error code [1665]; Generating identifier; nested exception is org.hibernate.exception.GenericJDBCException: Generating identifier

Has anyone come across this problem before?

I haven't seen that error before, and my research didn't turn up much.

It is definitely an error that is generated by the database. A similar error is caused by an incorrect log setting in the My SQL configuration file: Confluence will not start due to incorrect log format

To eliminate the error, first make sure your version of MySQL is 5.6 or 5.7, as those are the versions supported by the latest Confluence: Supported Platforms

Secondly, please make sure the database is configured as described in Database Setup For MySQL.

I look forward to hearing what you find as you examine your MySQL setup.
