Prepend https:// to jira link

William Borelli November 24, 2013

In Confluence we'd like to prepend https:// to our link to Jira, is there an easy way to do this? Right now we see jira.link.com, and we'd like for it to show https://jira.link.com. Any suggestions?

You can either setup Tomcat with https and do the proxy for redirect:

Or you can also use Apache in front of your JIRA installation and redirect all the traffic to HTTPS using Apache while Tomcat will be serving only http requests.

It has come to my attention that some links prepend https:// already, but some of them do not. The ones that do get prepended with https://, all seem to be at the top of tables, while the ones that are not linked are in tables. Here are some pictures with usernames and our links edited out. When we hover over 502 issues, 334 issues, and 3 issues https:// works, but if we hover over the Key or Summary column links then there's nothing prepended.
