Is it possible to pull information from LDAP into Confluence profiles? I can't find any info on this. (FWIW, I did find this question asked more than a year ago by several people on https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Connecting+to+an+LDAP+Directory, but no response from Atlassian.)
There are only a few fields that are populated into Confluence from LDAP using the bundled functionality. There is a plugin called the User Profile Plugin that will allow you to populate other fields from LDAP into Confluence.
with the User Profile Plugin, you can populate the standard profile information of Confluence but you can also extend the profile to your needs with further fields. You can also define wether the profile field will be filled in by the users or automatically with information from the LDAP. Just try the User Profile Plugin and have a look at the documentation or contact us directly via email@example.com, if you have any further questions. I hope this helps to clarify your question.
