Hello CommunityGood afternoon!
I would like your help to solve a problem in the scenario below.
I have an approval flow with two approval phases:
1- In the first phase I got the approvers from a custom field called "MANAGERS ONE", this field has more than one person who can approve.
These approvals are defined when the issue moves to the status of the same name "MANAGERS ONE".
2- In the second phase, a similar flow occurs, but now with a new approved field "MANAGERS COMITE" and also direct to the status of the same name "MANAGERS COMITE".
Some of these approvers have a Jira Service Management license and in other cases they are the ones who close that issue.
And currently some of those approved in the first group "MANAGERS ONE" include it in the "MANAGERS COMITE" field, with this being a problem with the flow, or with the default permissions.
I would like to better understand what would be the best solution, editing the permissions scheme or working on the field for editing in a certain status?
You seem to be trying to tackle the issue using out-of-the-box solutions on Jira.
I strongly recommend looking into some apps like Approval Path for Jira.
It will simplify this with proper paper trailing and workflow conditions. Plus, you can create conditions for the approvals themselves.
Best,
Parsa
