Page with Childpage Templates?

I am working with the concept of having some given subject, Network for instance, and knowing that we should have some consistent set of child pages that would be replicated across other subjects.

That is, Network has configurations, diagrams, patching notes, issues, backup notes, support contracts. Now when it comes to sketching out the same layout for the Storage area, it would be nice to quickly replicate that same structure.

Is there a way to copy a part of the page tree?

Hello Matt,

we had the same requirement and used the Copy Page Tree Plugin for that.

I created a set of empty dummy pages reflecting the structure of the subject to serve as a basis for the Copy Page Tree Plugin.
Additionally, I created a user macro which is showing a button and upon clicking this button will call the Copy Page Tree Plugin on the dummy pages.

This was in Confluence 4.x. I don't know if Confluence 5 offers better possibilities.

Cheers,
Kirstin
