I am new to Confluence. In my work, we use live templates to create forms, and part of the form is tables that we would like to have it summarized on another "summary" page.
So, I included one of these tables inside a page properties macro on the actual live template, and had the page properties report macro on the summary page (of course, with a label for all "form" pages and even an ID for the page properties macro). Sadly, Doing so resulted in an empty table.
However, when I created the exact page without the live template (basically copy-pasted the contents of the live template into a new page), the summary page showed information from the non-live-template page only.
Anyone have an idea why is that happening and if there is a way to work it out? We need the live templates as we frequently update it.
I have the exact same issue, it seems live templates break any macro that needs access to data that is inside a macro inside the template which basically means they're useless :/
Exactly! And unfortunately, no one cares from the developers, it seems.

I am still hoping for a solution to this issue. Any other suggestions 😊?

Hi @Ahmed Raoof and welcome to the Community! Have you tried using the Excerpt / Excerpt Include macros instead of the Page Properties / Page Properties report macros?

Hi @Laurie Sciutti and thank you for the kind welcoming 😊
Unfortunately, Excerpt/Excerpt Include won't be suitable, as I will need to collect the data from several tables (each inside a Page Properties macro) on the child pages into several summary tables (also, each inside a Page Properties Report macro) on the parent page.
