Obtaining PDF attachment as an address to reference

Beren Harris July 15, 2013

Hello.

I have an OnDemand page that has the attachment macro used to see a list of documents & pdfs saved. If i try to view one of the PDF's i can see the address has the file name within in, like below:

https://MySite.atlassian.net/wiki/pages/worddav/preview.action?fileName=DocumentName.pdf&pageId=3112995

However if i try to grab the address to reference somewhere else, i only get a link to the page containing the attachment. Is there a way i can refence the actual attachment as i am sure i can do this with my downloaded version of confluence?

Thanks,
Beren

I have worked it out.

If you want to link (reference) to a page - you can simple highlight the entire address field and paste on that other page. This will also change the links name to the referenced page name.

If you want to link (reference) a specific attachement on another page. View the attachment and then copy the entire address. On the page you wish to reference from, write some text & create a web link over that text to the attachments address.
