Notifications on decision log

Hello,

We are on Confluence Data Center. We are looking for a good way to get notifications out when a decision is added to our decision log (specifically an email sent to a group of people or watchers). From what I understand, notifications on watching that page do not get sent, because the page itself is a page properties report and so the page it not actually modified.

Is there a workaround for this anyone has figured out?

Thanks,

Stacey

Hi @Stacey Hamilton

While automation is a viable solution, it's crucial to consider the differences in automation capabilities between Confluence Data Center and Confluence Cloud. The core issue lies in notifying users when new decision pages are added to the Page Properties Report, rather than updates to the decision log page itself.

For Confluence Data Center users, consider the following workarounds:

To automate notifications, check if your version supports automation rules. Create a rule triggered by "When a page is created," with conditions to identify Decision blueprint pages or specific labels, and set an action to email the desired group.

You may also have to Explore Atlassian Marketplace for apps or custom solutions.

Thank you very much and have a great one!
