Notification on a "watched" page when someone creates a Jira ticket from that page.

Hatcher, Karen M. (SP) August 21, 2024

Steps:

  1. Watch an existing page.
  2. Someone (let's call them the "Reader") highlights text on that page.
  3. Confluence displays the option to add a comment or create a ticket.
  4. The Reader opts to create a ticket.
  5. The new ticket displays on the Confluence page.
  6. Persons watching the page are not notified that this update has been made to the page.

Is this correct? If so, is there some way (an automation) that we can implement that will notify watchers of the page when a Jira ticket is created from the page?

Hi @Hatcher, Karen M. (SP) ,

issue creation is an event that is not related to a confluence page even if it is performed highlighting text in a page so, for my knowledge, there is no way to put in place that.

Hope this helps,

Fabio
