(Confluence Data-Center 8.5.14)
Hi all
We recently archived a space and have now restored/unarchived it 2 days ago. I can see the space, and when I search for the space name, the space shows up. However, no matter what you search for, nothing from INSIDE the space is returned in the results. I also tried to filter for that specific space, but no search results no matter what you search for, and the space is huge btw.
I have tried a reindex of the space, then reindex of the whole Confluence, both completed successfully, but still this space doesn't show up in any result other than the space Title/Name. Just for testing, I also tried to activate the "Search archived" toggle, still the same.
Could it have to do something with permissions or any third party apps?
As an admin, I can see the space, so the search results should also be displayed to me right no matter what permissions? But those should be set the same as before.
Could it have something to do with the whole unarchiving process?
Any help is appreciated, if for example someone know in what log files too look for.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Hi @Felix Krull
I would think 2 days is sufficient enough time to wait for the search to get reindexed. From this doc, it does hint that the search index is not directly tied to the site indexing, and restored pages get added to a list to be scanned and added to the search feature.

However since you said this space is huge, wait another day and see if you get results, and if not, contact Atlassian support.
