New to Confluence, JIRA and Agile - Need help

Atlassean Newbie April 25, 2014

I saw the below URL and this what exactly I would like to do in my project.

Can someone point me to an example or video or tutorial on how I can do this?

Ok, I will assume you can find the documentation for each of the items above. The best way to understand the integration is to actually do it yourself. You have the best understanding of your needs.

There is a video you can look on the integration of confluence and jira page. I am not sure it is for the latest version but it does show some of the items on your list.

Atlassian also offers classes you can take.

If you can make it to one of their roadshows, they are offering a mini class jira and confluence integration.

Norman,

Thank you so much for the response.

I am using on-demand version. I am aware that I have all these tools part of on-demand version.

I would like to understand how to use all these tools together for the following:

1. Plan a project.

2. Discovery of a project.

3. Minutes.

4. Create product requirements.

5. Create Epics and User Stories.

6. Create JIRA issues.

7. Create sprints.

8. Complete sprints.

9. Backlog.

10. Report in Confluence.

11. Retrospect in Confluence.

I understand that it is possible to do these using Confluence and JIRA based on the documentation from Atlassian. I need an example on how I connect all these dots.

Thanks.

Everything in this article is the default behavior . You did not state if you are using the download versions or ondemand. The directions on what to do is in the article (ie create application links) for the download version is.

In general

Install Jira
Install Confluence
Install Jira-Agile
Create projects
Create Application Links
Use Jira-Agile for your projects
Create Users

For the on-demand version

pay for Jira
pay for Confluence
pay for Jira-agile
I believe the application links are created automatically but I could be wrong here.
Create Projects
Create Users.

It is really that simple if and only if you use the default behaviors.
