Need to trasnfer Confluence License to new server

Marco Tafur October 17, 2017

Been using Confluence 6.1 for the past months with embedded DB. Executed and upgrade to 6.4 with SQL as DB to a new (Linux) server.

I need to decomission the old server and transfer the license to the new one.

Please Advice.

The license is not tied to a specific server id if it is a paid license, it only used internally for tracking, see this thread https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Software-questions/Server-id-changed-in-the-update-7-1-8-gt-...

You should still be able to just copy/paste the license key and use it on your new server.

Thanks. I thought it was tied to the Server ID.

I managed to paste and license the new server.

How do I mark this as an answer?
