I have lots of Confluence pages for documentation of hardware / software / configuration items. Each page has a date somewhere, for example next due date for safety inspection, software maintenance renewal date, service available until date and so on, which is currently entered as plain text.
I would like to have a way to link these pages to a Calendar page so that I have an overview of all these upcoming events in one place.
Right now I am managing this information using the metadata plugin, which works but is not the ideal solution.
https://studio.plugins.atlassian.com/browse/TEAMCAL-135 and https://studio.plugins.atlassian.com/browse/TEAMCAL-208 may be related.
If such a macro does not yet exist, would it be possible to write a user macro or a plugin to accomplish this?
Hi Arne,
The two linked feature requests sound like they might be what you want, if so you should vote/comment on them. However if you think a {date} macro is specifically what you need then feel free to raise a new feature request on the TEAMCAL project.
Unfortunatly we do not currently have a documented public API for Team Calendars (see TEAMCAL-269), so it would probably be hard to write your own plugin.
Cheers,
Matt
