Hello,
We have to IIS proxies to our Confluence instance, one is for internal usage https://confluence/confluence and one is for external usage https://portal.domain.com/confluence. The base URL is set to https://confluence/confluence.
When accessing confluence via the portal url we run into a problem, the search function does not work because the URL doesn't match the base URL. After reading some docs I found out there's a workaround by using url rewrite. I have been able to download an URL rewrite plugin for IIS as well as an Application Request Routing Plugin, but can't seem te get it working.
- Is it possible to get this done when using IIS as a webserver?
- Can you sent me some guidelines on how to configure this?
- Is this the only way, or is there a more simple solution?
regards Ruud
Hi Ruud,
We have this KB explaining how to integrate JIRA with IIS using ARR, this procedure is the same for Confluence, but the complicated part is that both applications JIRA and Confluence use the Base URL to perform some operations, for example the Application links communication, therefore it's only possible to define one Base URL and accessing Confluence through other URL way cause problems.
Cheers
How about testing out Domain Booster for Confluence plugin. It allows the use of a single Confluence instance with multiple domain names.
