Modifying BigPicture Columns

danny.carter January 20, 2022

Hi,

when I go to BigPicture, I can see my root folder and the portfolios under it. There are 'default' columns called:

- FAV

- ICON

- ID

- NAME

- TYPE

- START DATE

- END DATE

- LEADER

- STATUS [TASKS STATUS CATEGORIES in %]

- TIME TRACKING

- ORIGINAL EST etc. etc.

My issue is I do not know how to remove some of these columns I do not need? There are way too many for me & it uses up my screen space.

How do I remove them please?

Hoping you can help.

Thanks!

Hi @danny.carter

Here are the instructions to update the columns: https://wiki.softwareplant.com/plugins/servlet/mobile?contentId=258681119#content/view/258681119

Make sure that you have permissions to edit the views.

Hi, thanks for this Fabian! When I click Views I just see the following: Compact, Regular and Wide only. I'm not sure how to make sure I've got the permissions. My colleague also cannot see it and he is license holder and he told me he gave me full permissions. How can I see the permissions I have to be able to allow me to edit the views? Thanks, Danny

Hi @danny.carter

At the moment editing Column View in the Home/Overview module is not available. The good news is that in the 8.3 version, you will have the possibility to customize Column View. The release is planned for this month.
