Mismatch in the user list from UI and DB for Confluence

Hi Team,

The results of the query in the link (https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONFKB/How+to+Get+a+List+of+Active+Users+Counting+Towards+the+Confluence+License) to get the count of licensed used from DB is different from the count showing in license details page of Confluence.

Why there is a mismatch in the count even if no user are granted individual global permissions?

In UI it is showing as 1554 users and the query result is having the count as 2078.

Please note that we are using both Crowd and Internal directory for user authentication.

Have you checked to see how many of your 2078 users are inactive. I'm pretty sure those do not count against the license.
