Migrating from Windows to Linux

Lincoln Forbes September 18, 2015

While migrating from Windows to Linux, the installation ask to either overwrite my test copy of SQL DB or create new SQL DB to use.  I would like to use my test DB with all my info in it. How can I do this?

Also, if I do overwrite the existing DB, my next setup step is to load content. Load "what content?" Your Migration instruction do not have those steps.

Hi Lincoln,

You can point the new installation of Confluence to your old database and the information should be picked up.

If you haven't already, please check these two links for further information:

Export the test content to XML, install the new version, then import the backup.
