Markdown, why is this not implemented?

Shane Holloman August 12, 2019

Our company doesn't have a server version of Confluence.

We, like most people on Github, have a lot of docs written in markdown because we have readme's.

Is this in the works or never going to happen?

Writing, importing, cutting and pasting Markdown should be a most basic of functions, no?

happy to get a beatdown on my first post here

Hello. Shane

There will be no beatdown, you are right that this functionality would be very useful, but it is not)

When we migrated from MediaWiki to Confluence, we had to write a heavy script that implemented this, we spent 2 weeks, and the result was still with errors

Unfortunately, so far I have not seen a tendency for Atlassian to implement this function.
