I created a few spaces, meeting notes, decision log in Confluence yesterday. But today, when I went into Confluence, I noticed they are all gone. And the links in the main confluence page is showing a link in black instead of red.
Name of the spaces that seems to be deleted:
1. GSA for myCity Implementation Home
2. Research and Engagement Library Home
3. meeting minutes page for GSA for myCity Implementation
4. decision log page for GSA for myCity Implementation
5. Single Family Housing Construction Home
Is there an audit trail to see who deleted the spaces/files? Is there anyway I can restore these spaces? All of these home pages were created and linked to the JIRA projects, however, these confluence pages are now gone...can you tell from the backend what happened?
Well, there are a lot of possibilities in here, if you want to validate your logs you could check the <Confluence Home>\logs\atlassian-con,.fluence.log for delete actions.
You could also check the <Confluence Home>\backups and check for any xml backups (if you enabled daily backup that could be a option).
Lastly you could check your database with below query:
SELECT * FROM CONTENT;
Check if you can see the space title of those spaces in there, if they still exist we could be dealing with a permission issue (like someone restricting those spaces if you are the admin).
Hope it helps,
Tks,
David
