Currently am trying to give users the ability to close the announcement banner. I have this working until the page is refreshed or if a user navigates to a new page...
Code:
<div class="aui-message closeable">
<p class="title">
<a href="https://xxxxxxxxxxxx/display/~admin/2018/08/28/Confluence+Printing+Update">New printing add-on installed: Scroll PDF Exporter.</a>
</div>
Does anyone know a way to keep the banner closed when navigating if a person clicks the X?
Did you figure out how to do that?
I would like to achieve the same thing, and if possible without expensive plugins.
Regards, Dominic
When you says...
"The same code will not display the X in the Announcement Banner."
Did you mean that you have tried the same HTML code on Announcement Banner for Confluence Free App and on there, it doesn't work?

Correct @Alejandro Villalobos _atSistemas_ .
Posting code in the Announcement Banner for Confluence will not display a close button.
Posting code in global HTML displays the closed button, but if you navigate off the page, the banner (from code) reappears.
