Looking for Confluence Data Center Automation to Set Permissions in a Space

Hello -

Since Confluence REST APIs are limited, we are looking for suggestions on other ways to automate the addition of users and permissions to a Confluence space. 
We're wondering what to others are doing....
We currently have 7.12.0 Data Center installed.

In Short: 

Currently, this isnot possibleby using REST APIwithConfluence.

We have aFeature Requestthat tackles this. You can check the request here:

Ability to set space permissions via REST API

We use Confluence ScriptRunner for such things. There you can set a new REST Endpoint and call a script from the endpoint.
