List pages by a user in CQL

I'm trying to use CQL to show pages created by a user, but having no luck.  I've seen postings to user the username, but it doesn't matter if I use the email address or displayname, it doesn't return anything.

Tried the following

type IN (blogpost, page) and contributor = "Donald Duck"

type IN (blogpost, page) and contributor = ""

type IN (blogpost, page) and contributor = "Donald.Duck"

Any advice appreciated. I've also tried the CQL search macro and the API, no success with either.
