Jira Chart Macro using Application URL rather than Display URL

Confluence Server 6.1.3, Inserting a 2d Jira chart Macro into a page and the links to Jira in each row are broken.
There is an apache reverse proxy upstream of the app servers which does have ProxyPreserveHost set however the links in the above table seem to be using the application url rather than the display url.
Could this still be a proxy issue or is this a bug with the Jira chart macro

Given that links elsewhere work this does look to be a bug with the Jira chart macro

You are right, it is a bug. Here are 2 reports for it:

Some JIRA gadgets Do not Respect the Display URL

The Two Dimensional JIRA Chart Gadget uses the Application URL instead of the Display URL

The second one has a workaround of recreating the application links without bypassing the proxy. Is that feasible in your environment?
