Jira CSV Project migration

Can original "created" and "resolved" dates for issues be preserved if CSV project migration is done from one instance to another? Are there any additional challenges and risks associated with CSV migration?

The created and resolution dates can be preserved if they are part of the CSV and in the correct format accepted by the destination JIRA instance. When you do the import you need to map those fields specifically as well as summary.
