JIRA Listenener Events...But In Confluence?

Mina Gray December 7, 2020

Hey all,

We have a Confluence page that has:

  1. A quick link button to a specific Service Desk request type, for users to fill out
  2. Lists of JIRA issues showing in TMC (Task Manager for Confluence) macros. Approvers look at these lists and approve/deny using issue transitions directly on the page, thanks to way TMC works.

Now here's the catch. We have a customer requirement to have a pop-up survey appear on this page - which is fine, we can do that no problem. But the customer would like for it to appear only after a new issue was submitted (refer to #1 above) or a user executed a certain transition (Approve or Deny) (refer to #2 above).

I have some minor experience writing Listeners using ScriptRunner, but I don't think there are any events that can help us with this, right? Technically, nothing is changing on the page, so we can't use page updated events...are there any Confluence events that look at JIRA?

Thanks in advance,

Mina
