Is there any other option for "Action Button" Macro, where one can add a different color?

I have figured how to get another color using CSS id from online and it works. 

Used answers from this page

But it works in one space and not in others. What can be done? or what are the criteria?

where did you put the mentioned CSS in ?

In the article they mentioned space stylesheet for saving - when you saved it in the space stylesheet it will only be used in the space. If you wanna use it for your whole system you have to use in your global stylesheet you will find here:

yoursystem/admin/viewstylesheet.action (> General Configuration > Stylesheet)
