Is there a way to remove old likes but not disable the feature?

On Confluence server (5.9) I have page likes from a large number of 'undefined' users due to importing content from a different instance, which continued different users.

I would like to remove the page likes but keep the functionality for future users.  Is there  away to do this?

Hi Helen,

you can do so, but you need to edit your database directly.

Do the following steps first on a testenvironment:

  1. shutdown confluence
  2. make a backup of your db
  3. remove the likes from the database. You'll find them in the table LIKES and you need to get list of all bad usernames there
  4. start confluence again

If all is fine, do it on your production as well. If somethin bad happens, use your backup.
