Is there a way to query data from Cassandra to display it in Confluence?

We do have an active connection to a MySQL external DB and use Bob Swift's SQL and Script plugins to do so.

Is it possible to extract data from Cassandra as well?

Hi Peter, it's not possible to do that natively within Confluence, and I don't know of any plugins that will allow you to connect to another database external to Confluence for that. What exactly are you trying to accomplish?
