Is there a way to make server "objects"?

Lawrence Smith III February 13, 2015

We are using confluence and have been wondering this for a while.

Is there a way to make objects, like a server name which can refer to an IP address, so if you refer to a server in a document, and the IP changes, you can change the IP of the server object and have it change all the documents that reference it?

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

Take a look at ConfiDoc plugin, it has a macro to help you to manage global variables/constants in Confluence.

Macro name is: ConfiDoc Globals Macro, basically you define a key-value pairs (each variable/value could be secured with permissions, like admins see one set of variables, ordinal users - see another set of variables)

Hope, this helps and solves your problem
