Hello Derek, there are no reports of page history limitations, for instance we do have pages in Confluence documentation that do have hundreds of edits which can be reviewed under the tool menu. Is there any specific usage scenario you are looking into?

The usage situation is a dashboard/bulletin board which is receiving about 100-200 edits a month and may go for years. Since there are no reported issues I suspect thousands of edits should be fine.
