There are still cases in 4.x where you need macro parameter names - are these available anywhere? Atlassian documentation doesn't have them anymore either.

Hallo Bob and all

The documentation was removed because, at the time, the thinking was that wiki markup would no longer be relevant. That's proved to be a mistake. :)

I'm busy creating the wiki markup documentation for macros here:

http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Confluence+Wiki+Markup+for+Macros

At the same time as the XML markup for macros here:

http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Confluence+Storage+Format+for+Macros

The issue is tracked here:

https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/CONF-24972

The online notation guide, which used to be accessible at http://MYCONFLUENCE/renderer/notationhelp.action?section=all, is no longer supplied by the Confluence app.

I've used this page a few times:

http://www.wikipatterns.com/renderer/notationhelp.action?section=confluence

It's not very up to date, but it has a few that I used pretty often.

If you are talking about wiki markup notation, it is here: http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Confluence+Wiki+Markup

No, I was talking about the names of the macro parameters for all the Atlassian provided macros and similarly for all the installed macros - that is what the Notation Guide use to provide.

I rely on the 3.5 documentation if I can't find it in the current documentation.

Hi Bob,

Your best bet is probably the storage format docs - http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/DOC/Confluence+Storage+Format - or the 3.5 docs - http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/CONF35/Confluence+Notation+Guide+Overview - the child pages work on the 3.5 docs, but not the full notation guide.

Andrew.

Thanks, but, I am still not finding macro parameter names. I guess the best option is capturing the notation guide from a 3.5.13 install and keeping it for reference.
