Is it problematic to *move* the db from pg 9.0 to pg 9.3?

Trace Magill May 26, 2016

We are upgrading from 4.2 to 5.9.  Our confluence db is hosted on a pg 9.0 server with other product dbs.

We want to migrate the db to another pg server that will be running 9.3.  Is this problematic?

It shouldn't be if your dba's know what you are doing. My recommendation would be to stand up your new instance and then use the XML import to make sure everything is done happily.

Thanks for the quick response!  We will give it a shot.

It should go with out saying, but I will anyway.

Do it in test first.
